Rusev and Finn Balor entered No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.

Balor ousted Baron Corbin and The Lone Wolfe responded by laying out both Rusev and Balor. Elias sang a song before going to battle. Tye Dillinger didn’t a chance to enter at No. 10 as Owens blindsided him and Zayn stole his spot.

Nakamura, Balor, Cena and Reigns represented the Rumble’s final four. Cena ousted Balor, Nakamura took out Cena and Nakamura was the last man standing after eliminating Reigns.

Nakamura wins the Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Reigns.

The music interrupts and out comes The Balor Club – Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Finn Balor, to a bit of a mixed reaction.

The Balor Club faces off with DX in the middle of the ring as a “too sweet” chant breaks out. They all meet in the air and touch “too sweets” with each other. Gunn goes to do the “if you’re not down with that…” line but the music interrupts and out comes The Revival, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson. They stare everyone down and enter the ring.

The Revival vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

The bell rings as The Revival attacks Gallows and Anderson from behind. The referee restores order and calls for he bell.

Wilder goes to work on Anderson, taking him to the corner. Dawson comes in and keeps up the attack. DX and Finn Balor watch from ringside as Dawson talks some trash to Gallows and keeps control of Anderson. More double teaming by The Revival as Dash tags back in. Dash keeps Anderson grounded now. Dawson comes back in but Anderson nails a leg lariat to finally create an opening. Another “too sweet” chant starts as Gallows tags in with Dash and they go at it.

Gallows keeps control of Dash and tags in Anderson for a double team. They hit the Magic Killer and cover Dash for the easy win out of nowhere.

Winners: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

After the match, DX and Balor enter the ring to give props to Gallows and Anderson. They all raise “too sweets” in the corner. Dawson comes over and grabs Hall, talking trash to him. Hall flicks his toothpick in Dawson’s face. Waltman comes over and hits the X-Factor on Dawson. Dogg unloads with strikes to Dawson. Gunn follows up with the Fame-asser on Dawson. Dash takes a Sweet Chin Music from HBK and then a Pedigree from The Game. Everyone chants for Finn as he goes to the top. DX points at Balor as he comes off the top with a Coup de Grace on Dash. Gunn does the “suck it!” line as DX celebrates with The Balor Club.

Finn Balor and Sasha Banks makes their entrances as Renee Young and Byron Saxton welcome us to the show from the ringside position. They throw it to the announce team that includes Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.

We get all the social media video promos from both teams.

Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Natalya

The ladies start the match but Banks traps Nattie in her own corner and ducks the ropes to break the attack. Tag made to Nakamura, so Balor joins him. Still no intergender wrestling in this one. Balor and Nakamura go move for move for a stalemate early on. Balor cinches in the side headlock and doesn’t let go after hitting the ropes. Nakamura fights Balor to the ropes and plays a little mind game as he drapes over his opponent. Finn with a slap and Shinsuke says “come on!” Nakamura makes the tag and the ladies are back in.

Collar elbow tie up that Banks gets the best of and shows off a bit. The claws are out as we go to Natalya’s forte, cat fighting. Nattie showing the mean streak and puts Banks in the corner. Sasha gets the boots up off a charge and traps Natalya in the ring ropes for a double knee. The Queen of Harts goes outside to regroup with her partner. Banks goes for a dive but Nakamura catches her and places her gently back on the apron. Not impressed, Banks goes for it again. Nakamura ducks and the cross body connects near the barricade. Back in the ring and Natalya in control with a rear chin lock. Sasha goes for a tag but Nattie intercepts.

Tag made to Balor and Nakamura hops in only to be met with several strikes. Balor with a charge but Nakamura gets the knees up in time. Balor doesn’t skip a beat and hits an enziguri that knocks Nakamura off the ropes. We’re going shot for shot now as both men hitting their signature strikes including the Nakamura high knee while Balor is draped over the top rope. DDTs and throws reversed until Nakamura connects. Balor pops up and counters a Kinshasa with a Sling Blade. Front drop kick by Balor, who heads up top. Natalya hits the ropes to knock Finn down where it doesn’t feel so great. Nakamura covers but Banks breaks it up. Nakamura calling for the big knee again and Finn sends him into the ring post. Banks calling for the tag and it’s made. Sasha hits the diving double knees to the outside. A little double team offense as Banks and Balor hit the “Too Sweet.” Sasha hits the Banks Statement and Natalya has no choice to tap.

Winners via Submission: Sasha Banks & Finn Balor

After the match, we kick it back to Renee and Byron to view some other promos from the participating teams. They thank us for joining as Finn Bálor and Sasha Banks celebrate in the ring as we head off the air.

The groundbreaking WWE Mixed Match Challenge Tournament begins tonight with an explosive showdown pitting Finn Bálor & Sasha Banks against Shinsuke Nakamura & Natalya, immediately following SmackDown LIVE at 10 ET/7 PT, exclusively on Facebook Watch.

Whether competing in the historic WWE Iron Man Match against Bayley at NXT TakeOver or inside Hell in a Cell against Charlotte Flair, the innovative Banks is the very definition of a trailblazer. And with the distinction of being the first-ever Universal Champion and the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history, Bálor is definitely cut from the same cloth as the four-time Raw Women’s Champion. Add to the mix their larger-than-life personas and you have a fierce combination capable of taking any team to task in WWE Mixed Match Challenge.

The explosive pairing of The Artist with The Queen of Harts will truly prove to be something special. A graduate of the infamous Hart Family Dungeon, as well as a former SmackDown Women’s and Divas Champion, Natalya has shown time and time again that her technical expertise is second-to-none. Mixed with the charismatic Strong Style of the two-time NXT Champion, this combination promises to unleash a tag team arsenal so dynamic, so explosive, that it could arguably rival that of the original Hart Foundation.

The winner of this inaugural tournament contest will advance to go head-to-head in the second round of WWE Mixed Match Challenge with the winner of the Week 2 match pitting The Miz & Asuka vs. Big E & Carmella.

In the weeks leading up to this landmark event, the 12 tandems of the Mixed Match Challenge have taken to social media to express their excitement. Most recently, The Queen of Harts presented The King of Strong Style with the jacket of her father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, which he wore when he won the Tag Team Championship.

See who reigns supreme in the explosive opening match in WWE Mixed Match Challenge, premiering tonight at 10 ET/7 PT, exclusively on Facebook Watch. Follow WWE Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook for more.
