Alexa Bliss makes her way out for another edition of “A Moment of Bliss” on the stage. Her guest will be WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor. We go back to commercial.

 

Back from the break and Alexa Bliss is on the stage for “A Moment of Bliss” and she starts by saying “bye Ronda” to Ronda Rousey. Bliss says she never would have disrespected the RAW Women’s Title like that and officials know where to find her if they need a new WrestleMania opponent for Charlotte Flair. Bliss brings her guest out, WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor.

 

Bliss welcomes Balor and he thanks her. Balor is dressed to wrestle. She brings up how he won the title by beating Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush at Elimination Chamber. She congratulates him. Bliss points out how the title covers up Balor’s abs and he needs to just let them breathe. Balor asks if she’s trying to make him blush. Bliss wants to make a deal – if Balor shows her his abs, she will show him her… the music interrupts and out comes Lio Rush to the stage.

 

Rush says this whole talk show is a sham. He says Balor doesn’t deserve to be champion because Lashley does. Fans boo. Balor says if Lashley wants to challenge him for this title, he knows where to find him. Rush says Lashley is preparing for Braun Strowman, which means Balor is answering to Rush now. Rush isn’t leaving until Lashley gets the title back, even if it means he has to take it from Balor’s hands. Balor asks if Rush came to challenge him for the title to prove he’s better than Lashley. Rush denies that. Balor says he believes Rush deserves to get the opportunity he’s fought hard for. Balor accepts the challenge and says it makes perfect sense because he pinned Rush for the title, so Rush should get the chance to challenge him back. Rush says he knows what Balor’s trying to do here. Balor proposes the match for tonight. Bliss asks if Rush is man enough to do the job by himself. Balor taunts Rush. Rush gets upset and takes shots at Balor, and accepts the challenge. Rush says he’s going in the back to prepare but Bliss informs him that the match is right now. Rush calls for his music to hit as he heads to the ring in street clothes. He barely makes it down the ramp when Balor’s music starts up. We see Bliss heading to the back as Balor gets up from his chair and makes his way to the ring.

 

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor

 

Finn Balor wraps his entrance as Lio Rush looks on. We go to commercial.

 

Back from the break and we see more Happy Birthday tweets from stars to Ric Flair. We also see a video of Maria Menounos wishing a Happy Birthday to The Nature Boy. We see Titus O’Neil and WWE Hall of Famer Sting backstage at the red carpet area for Flair’s 70th birthday celebration. We return tot he ring and the match is starting. They lock up and Balor takes it to the corner but Rush avoids an attack. They tangle and Rush takes Balor down. Rush with a dropkick for a 2 count.

 

Balor takes control and they go to the mat for more back and forth. Rush comes back with kicks and nails Balor in the head. Rush kicks Balor to the floor. Balor comes back in and connects with an elbow to the face. Balor stomps away while Rush is down now as the referee backs him off. Balor dropkicks Rush back to the floor. Balor looks to leap from the apron but Rush jumps up and takes the knee out. Rush with an Asahi moonsault from the apron. Rush with more offense, including two big suicide dives, sending Balor into the barrier. Back in the ring now, Rush goes to the top rope but Balor gets his knees up.

 

Balor works Rush over now but Balor is selling a left knee injury. Balor drops Rush in the corner with a big chop. Balor goes on and hits a Slingblade. Balor charges but Rush charges and kicks the knee out again. Rush goes to work on the knee now, taking him down to the mat and working him over while grounded. Rush goes back to stomping on the leg. Rush takes Balor back down and keeps him grounded while fans start chanting for the champion.

 

Rush goes for the leg again but Balor drops him with an enziguri. Balor with more offense now. Rush counters a move as Balor’s knee goes out and rolls him up for a 2 count. Rush drops Balor again with a kick to the head for a close 2 count. Rush can’t believe Balor kicked out again. Rush lands on his feet from a moonsault attempt and Balor levels him with a clothesline. Balor limps to the top but Rush crotches him. Rush rocks Balor and climbs up for a Frankensteiner. They roll through and Rush ends up with another close 2 count. They trade more shots in the middle of the ring now. Balor counters a springboard Stunner and drives him into the mat with 1916. Balor goes back to the top and hits a Coup de Grace for the pin to retain.

 

Winner: Finn Balor

 

After the match, the referee checks on Balor’s leg and hands him the title as the music starts up. We go to replays. Balor poses in the ring and raises the title for a pop.

  WWE Elimination Chamber Results – February 17th, 2019

Bobby Lashley (c) & Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor

If Balor can pin either man, he wins the Intercontinental Title. Lio starts off and Lashley is on the apron. Before they engage, Lio backs off and tags in Lashley. Lashley immediately hits a knee to the midsection of Balor, and continues the offense with clubbing blows. Balor fights back with a series of kicks, and Lashley rolls outside to regroup with Lio. Back in the ring, Lashley comes back and slams Balor down. Balor starts fighting back, but he gets distracted by Lio, and Lashley slams Balor down. They fight on the apron and Balor knocks Lashley down to the floor. Balor looks for a suicidedive, but Lio grabs his foot from the apron. Balor chases Rush around the ring until Lashley tackles Balor down hard. Back in the ring, Lashley suplexes Balor down, then he tags in Lio. Lio kicks Balor while he’s down, then he tags Lashley back in. Lashley and Lio trade tags now to take turns beating on Balor. Balor fights back against Lio, so Lio rolls away and tags in Lashley. Lashley spears Balor into the corner, then hits a big slam and Balor is down. Lio tags in and goes for a frog splash, but Balor rolls out of the way. Balor knocks Lashley off the apron, then he throws Lio down and hits the Coup De Grace on him. Balor pins for the three count to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Winner & new Intercontinental Champion: Finn Balor

After the bell, Lashley chases Balor out of the ring, and Balor celebrates up the ramp. Lashley does not look happy with Lio Rush now. Lashley grabs Lio by the neck, but lets go, and the crowd boos. Lashley changes his mind and picks Lio back up, then slams him down with a big spinebuster. Lashley heads to the back while Lio is down in the ring.

  Monday Night RAW Results – February 11th, 2019

Back from the break and Elias is in the but we cut backstage to Finn Balor with Becky Lynch. Balor asks if everything is OK with Becky. Balor gives her some advice and tells her to not let her pride get in the way. Balor goes on about wanting to do something to Lio Rush and WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley every time they run their mouths, but he’s waiting for the right time.

Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley with Lio Rush. Mike Rome does the introduction. Lashley and Rush will be watching the next match from ringside. We go back to commercial.

Back from the break and we get a pre-recorded video of Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose talking about how they will win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on Sunday. Out comes Finn Balor for the next match. We see what happened last week between Balor and Rush & Lashley. Balor will get a title shot on Sunday at Elimination Chamber in a Handicap Match against the two. Drew McIntyre is out next.

Drew takes advantage to start after a distraction from Rush and Lashley. Drew levels Balor and unloads on him with right hands. Drew yells at Balor and tells him too fight. Drew drops Balor with a big chop and poses over him, mocking him. Lashley looks on laughing as Drew takes Balor back down and keeps him grounded by the arm. More back and forth now. They go to the apron. Drew charges and Balor moves, sending him into the ring post and then the floor. Balor looks to capitalize from the ring but Rush and Lashley interfere again. Balor knocks Rush back to the floor at Lashley. Balor goes back to work on Drew in the ring now. Balor unloads and goes to the top for Coup de Grace but Lashley puts hands on him, sends him down and gets the disqualification.

Winner by DQ: Finn Balor

After the bell, the heels gang up on Balor now. The music interrupts and out comes WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle to make the save. Angle with a German suplex to Lashley and then Drew. Rush runs in but Angle puts him in the ankle lock as fans pop. Baron Corbin runs in from behind and drops Angle. Corbin stomps on Angle as fans boo. Lashley, Corbin and McIntyre triple team Angle now but the music interrupts and out comes Braun Strowman. Braun meets Drew and then Lashley at ringside with big shots. Braun launches Lashley into the barrier and then sends Drew into it. Strowman stares Corbin down and gets on the apron. Corbin meets him and they go at it. Strowman fights in and scoops Corbin for the running powerslam but Drew hits the apron and pulls Corbin to safety. We go to commercial with Angle, Strowman and Balor looking on from the ring.

Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor vs. Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre

Back from the break and the six-man is underway. Braun Strowman levels Drew McIntyre and takes him to the corner. Kurt Angle tags in as fans chant for him. Angle holds Drew as Finn Balor tags in for a shot off the top rope. Drew counters Balor and sends him to the opposite corner. Baron Corbin tags in and double teams Angle with Drew. Bobby Lashley comes in to keep up the assault on Balor in their corner. Corbin tags back in and works Balor around for a bit. Drew with another quick tag as fans try to rally for Balor.

Balor counters a sideslam from Drew and drops him with a DDT. Angle tags in and hits the three German suplexes on Drew. Drew block the Angle Slam and kicks him in the gut. Angle comes right back with a boot to the face. Angle with a dropkick from the second rope. Angle with an Angle Slam to Drew. Angle covers for the pin but Corbin runs in and breaks it up. Drew drops Angle thanks to an assist and covers for a 2 count. Corbin tags back in and works Angle over, keeping him grounded in the middle of the ring. Angle tries to fight back and out but Corbin drops him with an elbow for a 2 count.

Lashley tags in and works Angle over in the corner, taking him down and keeping him in a hold on the mat. More back and forth. Drew ends up coming in and putting the boots to Angle. Drew keeps control and tosses Angle out of the ring to the floor off an assist. We go to commercial with Angle down on the outside.

Back from the break and Drew is yelling at Angle about how he’s an embarrassment. Angle fires back and rocks Drew. Balor gets the tag and goes to work as Corbin comes in. Balor with an enziguri in the corner. Balor misses the Slingblade as Corbin catches him for a chokeslam on the knee. Balor kicks out at 2. Corbin works Balor over while he’s down.

Fans boo Corbin as he smirks while keeping Balor down. Lashley tags in and keeps the assault on Balor going, focusing on the ribs. Balor slides out of a move and ends up hitting a basement dropkick. Corbin runs in and knocks Angle off the apron to prevent a tag. Strowman comes down to the floor to deliver a beating but Drew levels him with a Claymore Kick. This leads to Balor dropping Lashley and going for a Coup de Grace back in the ring. Rush charges but Balor takes him out. Balor tries to regroup but Lashley overpowers him and drops him for the pin to win, despite Balor’s foot being on the bottom rope.

Winners: Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin

After the match, Cole shows us a replay of the bad call. The winners celebrate to Lashley’s music but here comes a second referee. He explains the missed call to the original referee. The original referee, John Cone, calls Mike Rome over and the match is re-started. Lashley, Corbin and McIntyre yell at the referee as we go back to commercial.

Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor vs. Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre

Back from the break and Baron Corbin covers Finn Balor for a 2 count. Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman are still down on the outside at different places. Balor tries to mount some offense now. Balor with an inverted DDT. Balor gets shut down when Bobby Lashley tags back in. Lashley dominates Balor but Balor slides out of a gutwrench attempt and Lashley goes down. They both struggle to get to their feet now as Drew McIntyre and Corbin wait for tags. No sign of Balor’s partners yet.

Balor drops Lashley with an enziguri. We see Strowman finally start getting up on the other side of the barrier. Braun waits for the tag now. Braun gets the hot tag and unloads, dropping the others off the apron also. Braun goes back to work on Lashley. Corbin and McIntyre also get dropped again as they come in. Braun runs around the ring, taking out Drew, then Corbin and then Lashley & Rush at the same time. Braun poses at ringside and yells out as fans pop.

Corbin grabs Braun’s leg as he tries to re-enter the ring from the apron. Angle comes over and makes the save. Braun ends up sending Drew back from the apron to the floor. Lashley takes advantage and decks Braun. Lashley charges at Braun but Braun catches him in the running powerslam for a pop. Balor tags in and goes to the top for the Coup de Grace. Balor nails it on Lashley for the pin to win.

Winners: Finn Balor, Braun Strowman and Kurt Angle

– After the match, Balor celebrates with Angle and Strowman as his music hits. We go to replays. Balor, Angle and Strowman continue their celebration in the ring.

  Monday Night RAW Results – February 4th, 2019

Finn Balor is backstage and approaching the ring with his ribs taped up.

Backstage, Finn Balor says that the Irish are stubborn when wounded. His elbow is hurt from Lesnar and his ribs are hurt from Lesnar, but he’s still here to fight for the title. Balor says that he won’t be held down and he’s gonna take the fight to Lashley just like he did to Lesnar. He says he’ll be taking the Intercontinental Championship, too. As Finn enters the arena, we see replays of his match with Lesnar at the Rumble and the attack by Lashley the night after.

Lio Rush gets on the mic and tells Finn that he’s out here looking like a mummy with his ribs taped up. Rush tells him that this is a mouse vs. a mack truck. Lashley grabs a mic and says that Finn couldn’t beat Lesnar, and yet, he’s better than Lesnar. He says that he needs to start fighting people his own size and instead of a title match tonight, he has to face Lio Rush. If he’s entertaining enough, Lashley will give him a title match.

Before the match can even begin, Lashley cheap shots Balor and drives him in to the turnbuckles. Lashley continues the attack until he finally grabs his title and leaves the scraps for Rush.

Finn Balor vs. Lio Rush

The bell rings and Rush pounces with kicks and knees on a cornered Balor. Balor grabs Rush but Rush kicks him in his injured ribs to regain control. Rush with strikes on a grounded Balor. He goes for a kick but Balor catches his leg and drops him on his back. Balor stomps Rush until he exits the ring, he then comes through the ropes with a dropkick on Rush. Balor goes for a running kick on the apron but Lashley grabs his foot and pulls him down. The ref ejects Lashley from ringside as Rush looks on in horror. Rush climbs in the ring and then immediately goes back to the outside with a suicide dive on Balor.

Back from commercial, Lio Rush has an abdominal stretch on Balor and he finishes it with a couple sharp knees to Balor’s ribs. Rush with a couple shoulder tackles in the corner but Balor catches Rush with a knee. Balor with a kick to Rush from the ring apron. Balor goes for the coup de grace but Rush knocks his feet out from him and climbs to the top rope with Balor. Rush with a hurricanrana off the top for a close 2 count. Rush ties Balor in another version of an abdominal stretch but Balor twists out and puts Rush in an abdominal stretch of his own. Balor gains the advantage and connects with the Sling Blade, Balor ties to follow up but gets rolled up for the 2 count. Rush keeps on the attack and then goes for his huge frog splash. Balor dodges, gives him a dropkick in to the corner turnbuckles, and then scales the top rope. Balor with the coup de grace and the 1-2-3!

Winner: Finn Balor

Lashley comes running down to the ring after the match but Balor slides out and celebrates his victory on the ramp. We see replays from the match that just took place as Balor continues posing on the stage.

  Monday Night RAW Results – January 28th, 2019

Highlights are shown from Brock Lesnar defeating Finn Balor last night.

Finn Balor addresses Brock Lesnar
Finn Balor walks out on stage and heads to the ring to a solid reaction. Balor continues to show some wear and tear from his match last night at the Royal Rumble. He says last night for 10 minutes he went toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar. “I make no excuses. Brock Lesnar beat me. And then Brock Lesnar beat me again.” Balor said he never felt speed or power like that before. He said he is hurt today, but he’s not standing out here with his head hung low. Balor is standing out here with his head held high. “Last night, Brock Lesnar beat me and then Brock Lesnar beat me again because I made Brock Lesnar believe.”

WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush interrupt. Rush says it is a disgrace that Balor even got an opportunity at the Universal Championship. He says Balor almost beat Lesnar, but he wouldn’t stand a chance in hell beating Bobby Lashley. Rush says Lashley is bigger and faster than Lesnar will ever be. He says the “ass whooping” Balor took last night would be nothing compared to what Lashley would do. Balor points out Lashley only lasting a few seconds in the Royal Rumble last night.

Lashley then attacks Balor and drives him hard into the ring. Lashley continues to lift up Balor and power him back down inside the ring with power. He teases that he is done, but turns out and picks up Balor driving him down into the mat again. Lashley and Rush head up the ramp to the back as we see Balor rolling around in pain.

  WWE Royal Rumble Results – January 27th, 2019

Universal Championship: Finn Balor vs. Brock Lesnar

No Demon Bálor. Bálor wore red trunks and knee pads with white boots. Bálor went crazy on Lesnar early on, but Lesnar caught him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar cleared an announce table but Bálor pushed him into the corner of the table. Lesnar fought back and gave Bálor another belly-to-belly, but he’s selling his midsection from the table spot.

Bálor caught Lesnar with a slingblade, but Lesnar came right back with a clothesline. Lesnar is still really selling hard. He went for the F5 but Bálor countered into a DDT for a nearfall. The crowd was really into it. Bálor then hit consecutive flip dives. The crowd called for another one, so Bálor did it again. The crowd is way more into this than the previous match.

Bálor hit the Coup de Grace, but Lesnar kicked out and immediately applied the kimura lock. Bálor fought briefly but tapped out. Lesnar retains. Short match, but it was fun and Bálor looked good. He got a lot of offense.

After the match, Lesnar gave Bálor three German suplexes. Lesnar’s music played, he posed for a bit, then gave Bálor an F5 as the crowd booed. Hopefully, Bálor gets something out of this.

Winner: Brock Lesnar (retains the title)
