We see Pete Dunne and Finn Balor preparing for tonight’s main event in the back.
NXT Title Match: Pete Dunne vs. Finn Balor
We go to the ring for tonight’s main event and out first comes Pete Dunne. The dramatic music starts up as we see NXT Champion Finn Balor approaching the steps of the stage in the back. Balor’s entrance music starts up as he makes his way to the ring to a pop. We get formal ring introductions from Taylor as they face off in the middle of the ring.
The bell rings and they stare each other down. Fans chant “NXT!” and they go at it. They lock up and break. They size each other up and tangle again. They go to the mat and trade holds. They break and get back up, staring each other down. Balor grabs the arm and takes Dunne down by it. Dunne with an arm drag but Balor keeps him down by the arm now. Dunne turns it around but Balor slams him to the mat to break free. Balor grounds Dunne by his arm again.
Balor twists the arm up and keeps control. Dunne with a Monkey Flip but Balor keeps his arm tied up. More back and forth on the mat but Balor keeps the upperhand with the arm. Dunne turns it around but Balor quickly gets away. They lock up as fans chant for Finn. The champ takes the challenger down with a headlock as the referee checks on them. They run the ropes and Balor drops Dunne with a shoulder. Balor takes Dunne right back down with a headlock.
Balor with another takedown as they tangle again. Dunne ends up with a leg scissors on the mat, keeping Balor down. Balor breaks free and they both get up for a stalemate as fans chant “NXT!” now. Balor smirks at Dunne. They lock up again and Dunne takes it to the ropes. The referee counts but Dunne rams Balor with shoulders against the ropes. Balor takes him to the corner but Dunne takes control and starts bending the fingers back. Dunne bends the fingers and wrist again but Balor breaks it.
Balor looks for a submission but Dunne counters. Balor ends up on top of Dunne on the mat now, tying his arm up. They tangle on the mat some more and Balor tries to avoid an arm bar attempt. Dunne gets the upperhand on the mat, bending Balor’s hand back again as fans boo. Dunne snaps the arm and hand back as the boos get louder. Balor screams out in pain. Balor rolls free and retreats to the corner in pain as Dunne stares him down. Dunne goes for the arm again and they end up on the mat. Dunne grounds Balor and starts bending the fingers back. Balor keeps bending but Balor tries to break free. Fans rally for Balor but Dunne grounds him with a boot to the neck and an elbow to the ribs. Dunne bends the hand back once again, then jumps and stomps the ribs.
Fans boo Dunne as Balor clutches his ribs in pain. Dunne grabs Balor but Balor stomps his toes. Balor with a drop toe hold into a leg submission as fans cheer him on. More back and forth now. Balor goes for the single-leg Crab but they end up back on the mat. Dunne with a headbutt and a forearm across the jaw to get the upperhand, going into a front face-lock. They get back to their feet and Dunne goes for a Guillotine. Dunne goes for a twisting suplex and drops Balor on his head but it looks as if Dunne’s knee also goes out. Balor kicks out at 2. They trade strikes now. Dunne chops Balor into the corner. Balor with a big stomp to the back of the knee as it’s trapped in the corner.
Balor takes Dunne back down but Dunne goes for the arm bar. Dunne takes Balor back down by the arm and gets a 2 count. Dunne with a big enziguri. Balor comes right back and levels Dunne with a clothesline for a close 2 count. Balor stomps Dunne while he’s down. Balor drops a knee to the back of the neck as fans cheer him on. Balor with big strikes to the back of the knee now. He grounds Dunne from behind and beats on him with forearms. Balor with a STF in the middle of the ring now, causing Dunne to start fading out.
Dunne is fading but he manages to get Balor off him by driving Balor’s fingers into the mat. Balor chops Dunne into the corner. Balor chokes Dunne as the referee warns him and counts to 5. Balor with another big chop to drop Dunne in the corner. Balor sends Dunne into the opposite corner and keeps control. Dunne takes a chop but fights out of the corner with chops of his own. Balor takes the knee out a few ties and goes for 1916 but Dunne counters. Dunne keeps fighting and stomps away while Balor is down. Dunne with a shot to the jaw and a sitdown powerbomb for a close 2 count. Fans chant “this is awesome!” now.
Dunne with a big jumping stomp, then a snap German suplex. Dunne keeps control and stomps the fingers. Balor comes back and nails a Backstabber in the middle of the ring. Balor drops Dunne again and then dropkicks him into the corner as the crowd continues to cheer him on. Balor goes to the top for a Coup de Grace but Dunne counters on the way down and catches him in a submission. Dunne pounds on Balor while trapping him on the mat. Balor is almost at the bottom rope but Dunne pulls him away and continues grounding him, this time in the middle of the ring. Balor manages to get his feet on the bottom rope and the hold is broken.
Dunne points to how Balor is knocked out, despite the foot on the rope, and the referee checks on Balor but apparently he’s awake, but barely. Dunne charges with a huge kick while Balor is down, right after the referee says he’s still in it. Balor counters and goes for the 1916 but that is blocked. Dunne goes for the fingers again but Balor takes him down in another hold. Dunne breaks free and snaps the fingers as Balor screams out and fans boo. Dunne grabs the fingers and holds them but Balor fights him with his good hand. Balor stomps while Dunne still has his hand. They continue to tangle and this leads to Dunne nailing a Bitter End for a very close 2 count. Dunne can’t believe it.
A shocked Dunne sits up against the bottom rope. Fans chant “this is awesome!” again. Dunne nails a double stomp to both hands, and another while the boos get louder. Dunne rocks Balor and goes for a powerbomb but Balor turns it into a big DDT. Balor charges but runs into a kick to the jaw. Dunne keeps control but Balor blocks a Bitter End. Balor turns that into the reverse 1916 for a close 2 count as Dunne somehow kicks out, still clinging to Balor’s fingers.
Balor tries to pull his hand away from Dunne. Balor kicks his injured angle but Dunne snaps the fingers back again. Balor with a double stomp to the back to keep Dunne down. Balor has Dunne on his knees. He gets his hand free but has also pulled Dunne’s mouth guard out. Balor backs up, points his guns at Dunne, and then hits the double dropkick to the face. Balor immediately goes to the top and nails Coup de Grace. Balor follows up with 1916 for the pin to retain in the middle of the ring.
Winner: Finn Balor
After the match, Balor recovers as the music hits. We go to replays. We come back to Balor standing tall with the title. He poses in the corner as the crowd cheers him on. Dunne is down but recovering. Balor poses on the stage with the title around his waist until NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch run out, dropping Balor from behind. The boos get louder as Burch and Lorcan bring Balor into the ring for the double team. The referee tries to stop the attack but he gets knocked down, possibly by a recovering Dunne. Dunne joins in for the triple team until The Undisputed Era’s music hits for a big pop. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong run down and hit the ring as Dunne, Burch and Lorcan retreat to the stage. O’Reilly checks on Balor and offers his hand. O’Reilly helps Balor to his feet and they shake as fans cheer them on. The Undisputed Era stands in the middle of the ring and does their pose as Balor stands with them, doing his own pose. Cole suddenly superkicks Balor out of nowhere. O’Reilly and Strong, especially O’Reilly, aren’t happy with this. O’Reilly has words with Cole while we hear Strong say he understands what Cole did. Cole superkicks O’Reilly out of nowhere and lays him out next to Balor on the mat. Strong looks a bit unsure about everything but he’s with Cole. The boos get louder now as Cole looks down at O’Reilly, who is barely moving. Cole made his exit from the ring while Balor and O’Reilly are still down. Strong acted conflicted between the two. NXT “Takeover: Vengeance Day” goes off the air.

Finn Balor vs. Timothy Thatcher
We go right to the ring as Finn Balor makes his way to the ring. Timothy Thatcher is out next.
The bell rings and Balor unloads in the corner. Thatcher takes Balor to the mat and grounds him. Thatcher with open-hand strikes on the mat. Thatcher tries for an armbar but Balor turns it around on the mat with an armbar attempt of his own. They continue tangling on the mat. They get back up and Balor works on the arm. Thatcher keeps fighting. More back and forth now. Thatcher controls Balor with a front face lock now. Thatcher with a big shot to the chest against the ropes.
Thatcher keeps Balor locked in in the middle of the ring as the crowd rallies. Balor counters and sends Thatcher over the top rope to the floor. Thatcher comes right back in but Balor stomps away as the referee warns him. Thatcher takes Balor down by the leg and controls him, bending the knee and ankle. Balor ends up grabbing the bottom rope to break it up.
Thatcher decks Balor and drives a big knee to the ribs. Thatcher with another submission on the leg and neck now. Thatcher with a Bow & Arrow submission. Balor tries for a pin attempt but it’s broken and Thatcher keeps control from his feet now. Balor jumps up and rocks Thatcher. Balor keeps bringing it but Thatcher takes him right down into a Kimura in the middle of the ring.
They tangle on the mat some more but Thatcher keeps focusing on the arm. Thatcher with a knee into the back now. Thatcher grounds Balor as the crowd tries to rally for him. Thatcher with another big knee. Thatcher clubs on Balor and drives another knee. Thatcher with a double Chicken Wing on his feet now. Balor counters and drops Thatcher into a 2 count. Thatcher keeps control of Balor. They tangle some more and Balor hits the basement dropkick to the face. The crowd rallies as Balor decks Thatcher. They trade big strikes in the middle of the ring.
Thatcher with a huge chop to the chest. Balor with an overhead kick out of nowhere and they both go down in the middle of the ring. Balor chops Thatcher in the corner, and another across the ring. Balor charges for a Slingblade but it’s blocked. Balor drops Thatcher by blocking a submission, then stomps on his chest for a pop. Balor grounds Thatcher now. More back and forth on their feet now. Thatcher avoids a 1916. Balor with an abdominal stretch now. Balor drops Thatcher with the inverted DDT but Thatcher kicks out at 2. Balor dropkicks Thatcher into the turnbuckles. Balor goes to the top for Coup de Grace but Thatcher moves and Balor’s left leg goes out. Thatcher looks to capitalize and applies the single-leg Crab in the middle of the ring. Balor finally makes it to the bottom rope and breaks the hold.
Thatcher pulls him back and kicks him in the back while holding him by the leg. Balor turns it around and kicks Thatcher in the ribs. Thatcher comes right back with a kick to the head. Thatcher with a German suplex. They tangle in the middle of the ring and Balor rolls Thatcher for 2. Balor comes right back with another submission in the middle of the ring. Thatcher is wide-eyed with an ankle lock in the middle of the ring. Balor rolls through and stomps Thatcher in the chest. They get up and Balor ducks a swing. Balor takes Thatcher back down and goes to the top for Coup de Grace. Balor nails it this time but Balor’s leg gave him trouble and Thatcher isn’t all the way down. Balor follows up with the 1916 DDT for the pin to win.
Winner: Finn Balor
After the match, Balor sits up and Thatcher rolls over as the music hits. We go to replays. Balor climbs to the turnbuckles and poses.

Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest
We go back to the ring and out comes Damian Priest. He stops and shoots his imaginary arrow to set fire behind the house set. Finn Balor is out next.
Balor quickly ends his entrance after posing and sends Priest out with a double dropkick. The bell rings and Priest comes back in as Balor attacks. The brawl continues and Balor takes it to the floor. Balor sends Priest into the barrier. Priest comes back and sends Balor into the steel ring steps. Priest ends up taking the steps apart and blocking an attack from Balor. Priest slams Balor back-first over the edge of the apron. They come back in the ring and Priest drops Balor with a big right.
Priest beats Balor around the ring with lefts and rights. Balor comes back with strikes of his own. Priest shoves him into the corner. Balor comes back but Priest nails a leaping Flatliner. Priest mounts Balor with lefts and rights now. Priest keeps control and beats Balor down in the corner. Priest drags Balor back for a 2 count, then grounds him in the middle of the ring with a submission. The crowd rallies for Balor and he fights up but Priest takes him right back down.
Balor gets free with a Jawbreaker but Priest keeps control and sends him back into the corner. Balor with more attempts and a suplex. Balor dropkicks Priest through the ropes to the floor. Balor unloads on Priest against the barrier. Balor goes back in looking to charge but Priest runs in and nails a lariat. Balor slides out of the Razor’s Edge. Priest counters and hits the Broken Arrow. Balor counters another Edge and hits the double foot stomp.
They’re both down now but Balor gets up first. Balor with forearms and kicks. Priest fights back and unloads with kicks. Balor fights back. Priest with a kick to the face. Balor with a pele kick but Priest kicks out at 2. More back and forth between the two. More pin attempts. Priest with the Edge to the ring apron edge but Balor still kicks out. Priest shoots his arrow from the corner and charges in with a big back elbow in the corner, and another. Priest goes in for a third elbow but Balor blocks it with a Slingblade. Balor charges again but runs into two big kicks. Balor counters and drops Priest by his neck. Balor dropkicks Priest into the corner. Balor goes to the top but Priest grabs him by his neck. Priest climbs up to the second rope and nails a huge chokeslam.
The crowd chants “this is awesome!” now and Priest covers for a 2 count. The referee counts but they make it up. Priest wastes some time and goes to the apron, having some words with the referee. Balor gets up and unloads with strikes on the apron. Priest stuns Balor. Priest looks to hit the Edge from the apron to half of the steel steps on the floor. Balor escapes and runs with a dropkick, sending Priest from the apron to the steps down below. Priest lands back on the steel steps and hits hard. We get replays and a “NXT!” chant. Priest makes it back in the ring just in time. Balor immediately hits a Coup de Grace. Balor goes back to the top for a second Coup de Grace. Balor covers for the pin to win.
Winner: Finn Balor
– After the match, Balor stands tall and has his arm raised as the music hits. We go to replays. Priest barely leans up in the corner, staring up at Balor. Balor turns and points his guns at him. We go to a break.

We go backstage to Finn Balor when The OC walks up – RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, and WWE United States Champion AJ Styles. They talk about AJ taking care of Ricochet tonight. AJ brings up Balor vs. The Fiend and offers their help. AJ says if Balor wants The OC’s help, just say when. They tease him with “too sweets” as they back out of the locker room and Balor looks on.
“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor
We go to the ring and out comes Finn Balor first. Balor waits until the Firefly Funhouse intro starts up. This quickly goes into a darker entrance. The screen flashes “LET”… “HIM”… “IN” and then Wyatt appears on the stage, as The Fiend. The Fiend marches to the ring with new music. The arena lights up with phones. The Fiend is carrying Wyatt’s lantern but it has a mold of Wyatt’s head around it, so the lantern is inside Wyatt’s head. The Fiend places the head on the apron, facing the ramp. The Fiend enters the ring and yells out. He hits the corner to wait as the lights continue to flash. The lights come on and The Fiend is staring Balor down from the corner. Balor is on the outside. Fans chant “holy s–t!” now.
They lock up and The Fiend slams Balor down by his neck. The Fiend stomps and takes his jacket off. Wyatt stomps again and sends Balor into the ropes, knocking him down with a headbutt. Wyatt takes Balor to the corner and works him off. Fans chant “Yowie! Wowie!” now. Balor fights from the corner but Wyatt whips him across the ring. Wyatt turns upside down and stops Balor in his tracks. Balor charges but The Fiend locks him up and slams him to the mat.
Wyatt grabs Balor in the middle of the ring while Balor is on his knees, and snaps his neck. Balor falls to the mat. Wyatt delivers a big Uranage. Wyatt gets down in Balor’s face, crawling over and then back. Wyatt stops and looks down at his own hands. Wyatt backs into the corner and acts like he’s hearing voices in his head or something. Wyatt grabs Balor and goes for Sister Abigail but Balor slides out and hits a Slingblade. Balor dropkicks Wyatt and unloads with strikes. Balor tackles Wyatt and stomps.
Balor with more offense as Wyatt goes down. Balor goes to the top for Coup de Grace but Wyatt catches him in the Mandible Claw on the way down. Balor goes out and Wyatt pins him for the three count, still with the Claw applied.
Winner: The Fiend
After the match, The Fiend poses on his knees as the lights start flashing and the music hits again. The lights go all the way out and we hear Wyatt laughing. A light shows The Fiend standing tall until he just disappears. The lights come back on and we see the referee checking on Balor. Fans chant “that was awesome!” now.

Finn Balor vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship
The bell rings and they size each other up. Nakamura’s mind games backfire and they go at it with Balor taking control. Balor with a low dropkick to the face for a pop. Balor with big chops in the corner. Nakamura counters in the corner and positions Balor over the top. Nakamura follows up with a high knee to the gut. Nakamura goes for a move on the apron but Balor kicks him to the floor.
Balor runs the ropes and leaps out, taking Nakamura back down on the floor. Balor launches Nakamura from barrier to barrier a few times. Balor brings it back into the ring right before the 10 count. Nakamura pulls Balor into an armbar. Balor tangles but Nakamura locks it in again. Balor gets his foot on the bottom rope and the hold is broken. Nakamura keeps control and drops knees but can’t put Balor away. Nakamura keeps Balor grounded with a modified guillotine now. Balor tries to fight up and out but Nakamura takes him back down. Fans try to rally for Balor now.
Balor ends up making a comeback with several kicks. Fans pop as Balor takes control and drops Nakamura with an elbow over the throat for a close 2 count. Balor keeps control and goes to the top but Nakamura stops a Coup de Grace attempt. Nakamura works Balor over and hits the sliding German suplex. Nakamura waits for the Kinshasa now. Balor blocks it with a double stomp to the gut. Balor keeps control and goes for another Coup de Grace attempt but Nakamura moves. Nakamura drops Balor with a running knee to the back of the head. Nakamura hits the Kinshasa and covers for the pin to win the title.
Winner and New WWE Intercontinental Champion: Shinsuke Nakamura
After the match, Nakamura takes the title and celebrates as Balor makes his exit. We go to replays and come back to Nakamura raising the title.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Andrade vs. “The Demon” Finn Balor
The circle the ring and lock up, but Andrade elbows him in the face. Balor quickly takes him down for a one count. Balor applies a front facelock, but Andrade hits a jawbreaker and knees him in the jaw. Andrade goes for a Hammerlock DDT, but Balor gets out and takes him down. Balor hits a double stomp to the midsection. Andrade sidesteps him, but Balor drops him out of the ring. Balor hits a running baseball slide and sets up for a kick, but Andrade sweeps the feet. Andrade gets him in the ring and hits a springboard missile dropkick for a two count. Andrade goes for the Three Amigos, but Balor gets out of the third one. Andrade quickly stops him and hits the third suplex for a two count. Andrade applies a surfboard stretch, but Balor fights out. Andrade elbows him back before hitting a tornado reverse DDT for a near fall. Andrade applies a chin lock, but Balor soon fights up. Balor chops and punches Andrade before dropkicking him down.
Andrade blocks a double boot, and they try for clotheslines, but neither one goes down. Balor then clotheslines him over the top rope. Balor hits the ropes and hits a summersault senton. Balor gets him in the ring and kicks him a few times. Balor hits some running chops. The WWE Production Crew are having some rare glitches. They’re trying to show a replay of Balor’s summersault senton, but they keep messing it up. Balor hits a falling elbow drop before connecting with the 1916 for a near fall. Andrade avoids a Sling Blade, but Balor soon connects with it. Andrade kicks him, but Balor hulks up. Andrade hits him with a back elbow before hitting a handspring kick. Andrade hits double running knees in the corner for a near fall. Andrade goes for a moonsault, but Balor moves. Andrade lands on his feet and goes for a standing moonsault, but Balor gets the knees up. Balor punches Andrade from the apron, but Andrade fights back. Andrade goes for a sunset flip powerbomb, but Balor holds the ropes and double stomps him. Balor goes to the top rope and hits a double stomp to the neck for a near fall. Balor does a roll-up, but Andrade rolls through and dropkicks him in the face. Andrade then hits the Hammerlock DDT for a near fall. Andrade cannot believe it. Andrade goes for a powerbomb, but Balor gets out and powerbombs him. Balor hits a dropkick into the corner before going to the top rope. Andrade quickly cuts him off and springboards up to the top rope, but Balor counters into a super implant DDT! Balor immediately follows up with the Coup de Grace for the win!
Winner by Pinfall and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: “The Demon” Finn Balor
