Survivor Series Preview: Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match

The battle lines have been drawn and the teams finalized in the Men’s 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, and the biggest names and most prominent rising stars in sports-entertainment will join forces in the battle for brand supremacy on the one night a year where Raw and SmackDown LIVE clash in head-to-head competition.

Just when it seemed the contest couldn’t get any bigger, unforeseen circumstances have resulted in a bombshell announcement. Following Jason Jordan’s injury at the hands of Bray Wyatt during this week’s Raw, 14-time World Champion Triple H has been selected to replace the gold-blooded Superstar at the fall classic!

In the wake of SmackDown bringing Raw under siege, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon selected Kurt Angle as Raw Team Captain and made it clear that his position with Monday Night Raw will be in jeopardy if he doesn’t completely show up the blue brand. In response, The Olympic Hero recruited the dominant Braun Strowman, followed soon after by intense competitors Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe. And though Angle picked Jordan for the fifth and final spot, The Eater of Worlds nixed those plans with a vicious attack on The Olympic Hero’s son, leading to Jordan being replaced by The King of Kings, who took down the gold-blooded Superstar with a wicked Pedigree.

The addition of Triple H intensifies what was already sure to be an epic clash. On the other side of the ring will stand Shane McMahon, who named himself SmackDown Captain after his sister appointed Angle to the helm of Team Red. At his side will be none other than WWE’s resident free agent and 16-time World Champion John Cena, 14-time World Champion Randy Orton, The Artist Known as Shinsuke Nakamura and the absolutely glorious Bobby Roode.

The Men’s Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Teams stand as an incredible mix of legendary and up-and-coming Superstars, but who will win the day as the two brands speed toward a collision for brand supremacy? Find out at Survivor Series, this Sunday at a special start time of 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

Raw Preview: What will be the Extraordinary next step?

Finn Bálor may not have been able to get Bray Wyatt off his back once and for all at WWE TLC, but his Demon denied SmackDown LIVE’s AJ Styles in a one-off confrontation that came about when The Phenomenal One stepped in to bat cleanup. With The Phenomenal One surely back on Team Blue, Bálor faces his next step in his goal to reclaim the Universal Championship. What will the “Extraordinary Man” do?

TLC Preview: “The Demon” Finn Bálor vs. AJ Styles

Finn Bálor was set to unleash his Demon against the supernatural. Now, he must instead contend with the Phenomenal.

The first-ever Universal Champion was originally set to add another chapter to his escalating, macabre rivalry with Bray Wyatt by pitting The Demon against Sister Abigail at WWE TLC. But, with The Reaper of Souls sidelined for medical reasons, SmackDown LIVE’s AJ Styles has agreed to cross the battle lines and fight The Demon instead.

The WWE Universe had speculated on eventually seeing this bout, given that Bálor and The Phenomenal One briefly crossed paths in Japan before coming to WWE. It is a dream match in every sense of the term, but given Bálor’s mastery of both the mat and mind games, it’s quite possible that it will turn to a nightmare for Styles in short order. Now, these two passing ships are finally set on their collision course, and WWE may never be the same once the dust settles.

Tune in to WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs for this epic clash, streaming live this Sunday at 8 ET/5 PT on the award-winning WWE Network.

Raw Preview: Sister Abigail is coming for Finn Bálor

After speculation as to whether or not the mysterious Sister Abigail was indeed among the living, Bray Wyatt formally introduced Finn Bálor to the otherworldly entity in an unnerving meeting this past Monday night.

“Bray may have unleashed something awful,” Bálor told Renee Young after the encounter. “When she spoke, I heard her words echo through my head. I felt a shiver up and down my spine. I felt pure evil. But I also felt that now I know what I have to do.”

Having already defeated Wyatt as The Demon and as a man, how will Bálor deal with The Eater of Worlds’ latest threat?

Raw Preview: Can the man behind The Demon conquer Bray Wyatt?

At WWE No Mercy, Finn Bálor — not The Demon — will lock up with Bray Wyatt in a “man-to-man” confrontation that could potentially play out far differently than their battle at SummerSlam.

Can Bálor prove his dominance over the twisted Eater of Worlds without the aid of his Demon persona, or will Wyatt silence Bálor Club by conquering the Irishman?

No Mercy Preview: Finn Bálor vs. Bray Wyatt

Though Bray Wyatt failed to defeat Finn Bálor at SummerSlam, The New Face of Fear has found a way to put The Demon to rest, as his Irish adversary will step into the darkness without the help of his alter-ego in a highly anticipated SummerSlam rematch on Sunday, Sept. 24, at WWE No Mercy.

Wyatt initially set this rivalry ablaze when he delivered an eerie warning to Bálor back in July, leading to numerous encounters between the two increasingly hostile adversaries. In the past, Wyatt has shown a distinct ability to get inside the heads of his foes, but at SummerSlam, Bálor’s Demon persona proved to be the equalizer.

However, on the Aug. 28 episode of Raw, Wyatt appeared out of the darkness to throw Bálor over the top rope during a Battle Royal to determine who would challenge Miz for the Intercontinental Title, costing the Irishman a potential championship opportunity.

Hell-bent on putting an end to his war with Wyatt, the first-ever Universal Champion called out The Eater of Worlds the following week on Raw. The Man of 1,000 Truths was happy to oblige his foe in a fight, but he made it clear it had to be man-to-man.

Can Bálor defeat Wyatt in a man-to-man showdown? Or, was it The Demon who was the only one capable of toppling The Eater of Worlds, as Wyatt suggests?

See who wins this epic war when Finn Bálor and Bray Wyatt face off in a huge rematch at WWE No Mercy on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 8 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.
