Balor says that he won’t be held down and he’s gonna take the fight to Lashley just like he did to Lesnar. He says he’ll be taking the Intercontinental Championship, too. As Finn enters the arena, we see replays of his match with Lesnar at the Rumble and the attack by Lashley the night after.

Lashley grabs a mic and says that Finn couldn’t beat Lesnar, and yet, he’s better than Lesnar. He says that he needs to start fighting people his own size and instead of a title match tonight, he has to face Lio Rush. If he’s entertaining enough, Lashley will give him a title match.

Highlights are shown from Brock Lesnar defeating Finn Balor last night.

Finn Balor addresses Brock Lesnar
Finn Balor walks out on stage and heads to the ring to a solid reaction. Balor continues to show some wear and tear from his match last night at the Royal Rumble. He says last night for 10 minutes he went toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar. “I make no excuses. Brock Lesnar beat me. And then Brock Lesnar beat me again.” Balor said he never felt speed or power like that before. He said he is hurt today, but he’s not standing out here with his head hung low. Balor is standing out here with his head held high. “Last night, Brock Lesnar beat me and then Brock Lesnar beat me again because I made Brock Lesnar believe.”

WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush interrupt. Rush says it is a disgrace that Balor even got an opportunity at the Universal Championship. He says Balor almost beat Lesnar, but he wouldn’t stand a chance in hell beating Bobby Lashley. Rush says Lashley is bigger and faster than Lesnar will ever be. He says the “ass whooping” Balor took last night would be nothing compared to what Lashley would do. Balor points out Lashley only lasting a few seconds in the Royal Rumble last night.

Lashley then attacks Balor and drives him hard into the ring. Lashley continues to lift up Balor and power him back down inside the ring with power. He teases that he is done, but turns out and picks up Balor driving him down into the mat again. Lashley and Rush head up the ramp to the back as we see Balor rolling around in pain.

Universal Championship: Finn Balor vs. Brock Lesnar

No Demon Bálor. Bálor wore red trunks and knee pads with white boots. Bálor went crazy on Lesnar early on, but Lesnar caught him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Lesnar cleared an announce table but Bálor pushed him into the corner of the table. Lesnar fought back and gave Bálor another belly-to-belly, but he’s selling his midsection from the table spot.

Bálor caught Lesnar with a slingblade, but Lesnar came right back with a clothesline. Lesnar is still really selling hard. He went for the F5 but Bálor countered into a DDT for a nearfall. The crowd was really into it. Bálor then hit consecutive flip dives. The crowd called for another one, so Bálor did it again. The crowd is way more into this than the previous match.

Bálor hit the Coup de Grace, but Lesnar kicked out and immediately applied the kimura lock. Bálor fought briefly but tapped out. Lesnar retains. Short match, but it was fun and Bálor looked good. He got a lot of offense.

After the match, Lesnar gave Bálor three German suplexes. Lesnar’s music played, he posed for a bit, then gave Bálor an F5 as the crowd booed. Hopefully, Bálor gets something out of this.

Winner: Brock Lesnar (retains the title)
