Devitt got absorbed in soccer in boyhood. He watched professional wrestling program on TV, yearns after Dynamite Kid, and aspired to become a pro-wrestler. He debuted on the NWA-UK in October, 2000, and he got the NWA Commonwealth of Nations Championship in October, 2005. He was initiated into New Japan LA Dojo in the United States in November. Then, he visited Japan, and entered the New Japan Dojo. On April 16th, 2006 he made his New Japan Pro-wrestling debut against El Samurai at Korakuen Hall.On October 10th, he was appreciated by Jushin Thunder Liger and became a member of the “C.T.U” (Control Terrorism Unit) which he always hoped for. Although he entered “BEST OF THE SUPER Jr.” in June, 2007, he suffered serious knee injury, and had to secede from the front line. After C.T.U broke up on August 26th, 2007, he joined “RISE” which Shinsuke Nakamura and others formed. On January 27th, 2008, he formed a tag team with MINORU, defeated Dick Togo & TAKA Michinoku, and got the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.Three weeks after, in February 17th, although Devitt & Minoru were beaten by Liger & AKIRA and fell from the throne, they succeeded in the recapture of the championship in a return match on July 21st.In 2009, Devitt entered the “BEST OF THE SUPER JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT” (SUPER JUNIOR). He ranked first in the league on his block, and achieved the runner-up to the championship in the final tournament.On July 5th, he formed the “Apollo 55” with Ryusuke Taguchi, and recaptured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship from Motor City Machineguns of TNA.

Apollo 55 had a record of five time consecutive defense of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, but they returned the throne with “SUPER-J TAG TOURNAMENT 1st” holding in April, 2010. Apollo 55 was not able to won the championship in “SUPER J TAG TOURNAMENT 1st” but Devitt won the victory as a single player in “SUPER JUNIOR XVII” which held from May 30th. On June 19th, he defeated Naofuji Marufuji of Pro-Wrestling NOAH, and got the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship the first time for him.

On April 7th, 2013, in Ryogoku-Kokugikan, Devitt parted from Ryusuke Taguchi, the sworn friend, and declared the dismissal of “Apollo 55”!

Furthermore, Devitt expressed joint struggle with Bad Luck Fale who appeared suddenly! Then, they also received Karl Anderson and Tama Tonga in the Fukuoka convention, and it formed a new unit “BULLET CLUB” on May 3rd.
