Kevin Owens comes out to cut a promo and has a ladder, and he calls the crowd hypocrites. He says they cheered him until he beat Sami Zayn, and they are ungrateful, and NXT is like the “John Cena of wrestling fans.” Owens says they boo him selling out a huge arena because they aren’t going to be there live in Brooklyn, and he’ll beat Finn Bálor and rub it in their faces.
Finn Bálor’s music cuts him off, but he appears in the ring instead of on the ramp. They end up slugging it out and Bálor gains the advantage, and tries to hit Owens with the ladder, but Owens ducks and runs away.
