Backstage, Finn Balor is talking to Chad Gable about Evolution and Chad wants to know if they’re bringing anybody back. Somebody walks by with Finn’s suitcase and the next guy has his jacket. He explains they’ve been given orders from Constable Corbin to move him to a new locker room and Balor asks him to show him. The new locker room is a child’s plastic play house.

Corbin rolls up and says after his victory at Extreme Rules he felt he was too big a superstar to not have his own locker room. Finn says he’s great and always wanted his very own Finn’s Funhouse and thanks him for it. Baron tells him to get ready for his match tonight against Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor

McIntyre takes a knee mockingly to start and Balor immediately starts throwing kicks and goes for a leg pick only to get clubbed to the mat. Drew presses the attack with chops but gets dropkicked to the floor… TOPE CON GIRO SENDS US TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, McIntyre is in control with a kneeling armbar but Balor posts to his feet and breaks with body blows only to get whipped hard into the corner. Straight suplex, into a chickenwing chinlock, Finn breaks out, off the ropes with forearm smashes, into a tilt-a-whirl DDT… NOPE! Chops in the corner, whip reversed, Drew catches him on an up and over but Finn gets to the apron and lands the enzuigiri!

Up top, nobody home, Sling Blade, shotgun dropkick, up top, Dolph Ziggler crotches him and referee Rod Zapata has no choice…

Finn Balor wins by disqualification.

Ziggler and McIntyre put boots to Balor… SETH ROLLINS MAKES THE SAVE! DOUBLE LEG ON DOLPH INTO MOUNTED PUNCHES! Ziggler gets away!

Kurt Angle comes down and restarts the match as a tag match!

Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor & Seth Rollins

Ziggler returns to the ring, collar and elbow with Rollins, side headlock, shot off, drop down, leapfrog, hip toss into a cover, only good for two! Circling, kick to the midsection, repeated punches back Seth into the corner, more body blows, Rollins turns it around and lays his chops in before dumping Dolph to the floor. Plancha follows up and we go to break.

Forearm to McIntyre, Dolph rams Finn into the corner and tags out. Drew in hot putting boots to Balor, and into the kneeling armbar, scraping his forearm bone across Finn’s face.

Hard whip to the corner, baseball slide sends Balor to the floor and McIntyre follows after with a military press drop into the apron! Back inside, tag made, putting boots to Finn but he fights back with punches, reaching, off the ropes into a back elbow and Balor hits the Pele kick in return! Both men down and out, Drew tags in first but Seth follows soon after and hits a suicide dive!

Springboard lariat to come back in, diving blockbuster, only two, Rollins tunes the band up, kick to the midsection, clear Ziggler from the apron, float over a slam, Avada Kedavra connects… DOLPH MAKES THE SAVE! Balor in with the Sling Blade, he runs into a superkick to follow, Seth takes Ziggler out but gets cut off with the inverted Alabama Slam… NOPE!

Monday Night RAW Results – July 16th, 2018

RAW General Manager Kurt Angle is waiting in the ring as his music plays.

Angle thanks everyone who competed at Extreme Rules last night and says he’s proud of the dedication. Angle says one Superstar who has not shown the same is WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Some fans boo. Angle talks about the ultimatum he issued Lesnar and fans cheer when he mentions possibly stripping Lesnar of the title. Angle says he’s serious. Angle says he hasn’t heard from Lesnar or his representatives in 24 hours so he is now stripping Lesnar of the title. Fans pop but we hear Paul Heyman’s voice. Heyman appears on the stage to a mixed reaction.

Heyman introduces himself but Angle cuts him off and says Heyman is wasting his time unless Lesnar is coming out. Heyman acts like he’s about to introduce Lesnar but then says his client is not here. Angle says Heyman leaves him no choice – he is stripping Lesnar. Heyman screams in protest again and enters the ring. With all due respect, Heyman thinks Angle and the entire WWE Universe has it all wrong. Heyman goes on and says people think Lesnar is only focused on his UFC future but that’s not true as Lesnar loves being in WWE, loves being the Universal Champion. Angle asks why the hell doesn’t Lesnar show up. Heyman says Lesnar wants to represent the entire WWE Universe and challenge for the UFC Heavyweight Title with the WWE Universal Title around his waist. Some fans boo. Heyman says when Lesnar becomes the UFC Heavyweight Champion next time, he does it representing WWE as the Universal Champion, as a two-sport champion.

Angle says more power to Lesnar when it comes to the gold but he’s going to keep it simple – Lesnar will defend the title at SummerSlam or he is no longer champion. Fans continue to chant for Angle to take the title. Angle tells Heyman to give him an answer. Heyman gives Angle for his negotiation skills and says Lesnar will defend the title at SummerSlam. Heyman congratulates us all, on behalf of his client, for speaking up and getting more Lesnar. Heyman goes on with a promo and now it’s up to Angle to find out who will be beaten, victimized and conquered by Lesnar at SummerSlam. The music interrupts Heyman’s closing line and out comes Bobby Lashley.

Lashley says he had two goals in mind when he came back to WWE. He met the first by defeating Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules. Now it’s time to accomplish the other. Lashley stares at Heyman and backs him into the corner a bit. Lashley says that other goal is to beat Lesnar and take the title. The music hits and out comes Drew McIntyre next. McIntyre says he didn’t come back to help the roster or stand in Dolph Ziggler’s corner. Phase one was to get the WWE Intercontinental Title around Ziggler’s waist and now it’s time for phase two. Fans chant “yes!” as McIntyre enters the ring now – the Universal Title. The music interrupts again and out comes Seth Rollins.

Rollins enters the ring and gets in McIntyre’s face as fans do the “burn it down” chant. Rollins says if Angle is looking for an opponent for Lesnar, he’s here. Out next comes Elias with his guitar. Elias enters the ring while talking and says his debut album drops next week. Elias says Angle should ride that success and book him against Lesnar at SummerSlam. Finn Balor is out next as his music hits. Balor points out how he was the first Universal Champion and says it only makes sense that it should be Balor vs. Lesnar. Roman Reigns is out next to a loud, mixed reaction. Reigns slowly marches to the ring as Lashley and others look on. Reigns says he doesn’t have any excuses and doesn’t give a damn about Lesnar, all he wants is to fight someone tonight. Angle says they are all deserving to be out here. He announces two Triple Threats tonight. The winners will face each other next week to determine Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent. It will be Elias vs. Rollins vs. Lashley and Reigns vs. Balor vs. McIntyre, which starts now. All 6 Superstars face off in the ring as Angle’s music hits. We go to commercial.

– Back from the break and Constable Baron Corbin confronts Kurt Angle backstage. Corbin isn’t happy about the Triple Threats and wonders if Angle even got the matches approved. Finn Balor is shown smiling outside of the locker room ahead of an interview. He starts answering but Bobby Roode rolls up to say they’re cut from the same cloth. Both good looking, good hair, great abs, and unstoppable in the ring. Constable Corbin can say what he wants, but when it’s time to perform in the ring, nobody’s better than Finn Balor, and when all is said and done, they’re going to be… not glorious, but victorious.

But since you mentioned it, yes, they’re going to be glorious. Finn says it’s funny that Corbin thinks he’s the brains of the operation when all he does is go around telling people Balor’s half as big, tough, and strong, but he’s not half of anything, he’s twice as good, and he and Bobby could talk all night about how tough they are, but they like to do their talking in the ring.

Constable Baron Corbin & Elias vs. Bobby Roode & Finn Balor

Corbin in control on Roode, right hands in the corner, Bobby returns a boot and chops in the corner, arm wringer, trying for a tag but Baron gets away and tags Elias in. Drop toehold into a reverse chinlock, the Drifter tries to reverse to a pin but Roode stays on him. Shot off, shoulder block, drop down, leapfrog caught into a Manhattan Drop, Russian legsweep, only good for two.

Putting Elias in the corner, trading chops, whip reversed, up and over, kick to the midsection, Glorious DDT denied when Baron comes in and the Drifter clobbers him with a running knee! Tag to the Constable, putting boots to Bobby, half nelson chinlock applied and he keeps Roo down for a good while. The Glorious One to his feet, body blows to try and break, knee to the gut and he’s passed into the corner.

Baron charges in, slides out, back in, duck a lariat and both men end up down and out. Tags made all around, Finn clubs Elias down, clears the apron, double leg into the double stomp, clothesline sends the Drifter to the floor and he’s fired up! Off the ropes, Corbin trips him, Elias comes from behind and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Corbin is in control on Balor with the half nelson chinlock, but Finn breaks away. Off the ropes, caught by a back elbow for two, tag to Elias. Reverse chinlock applied, wrenching Balor down to the mat and pushing up for more pressure. Finn to his feet, reaching for the tag, denied, he passes Elias to the floor, reaching and crawling, tag to Baron and he clubs Balor to block.

Getting in Roode’s face, throwing Finn into the ropes… Sling Blade connects! Tag made, Bobby in, clearing the apron, back elbow, flying forearm, corner lariat into the neckbreaker and he’s fired up! Up top, diving… CAUGHT INTO THE CHOKEBREAKER BUT BALOR BREAKS IT UP! Putting Elias to the floor, big dropkick knocks him into the barricade but the Constable takes him out! Roode from behind with a schoolboy, not enough, Bobby to the second and he hits the diving blockbuster only for the Drifter to break it up!

Corbin reaching for the tag, Finn yanks Elias down and beckons Baron to him. Brawling on the floor, enzuigiri connects, back inside, Balor heads up top but gets crotched before he can take flight! Roode passes Baron into the ringpost shoulder first, taunts, spinning spinebuster for Elias, Corbin from behind…

Constable Baron Corbin & Elias win by pinfall with End of Days from Corbin on Bobby Roode.
