Finn Bálor and Apollo Crews vs Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin

Bálor tries to start the match with Joe, but Joe tags in Corbin. Bálor hits the ropes and drop kicks Corbin. Bálor tags in Crews, but Corbin tags in Joe. Crews almost decapitates Joe with a high angle drop kick. After a short break Joe and Corbin are working over Crews. Corbin ripcord suplexes Crews for a two count.

Crews tags in Bálor as Corbin tags in Joe. Bálor destroys Joe with a few clotheslines and a running punt kick to the head. Bálor goes for the 10 punches in the corner, but Joe almost reverses it into the muscle buster. Bálor wiggles out. Bálor hits the sling blade, followed by the running drop kick. Bálor goes up top, but Corbin pushes him off the top rope. Joe picks up Bálor and Death Valley drivers him. Joe locks in the coquina clutch and Bálor passes out.

Winners- Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin

WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently appeared on The Taz Show: Bodyslams & Beyond and during that interview, Austin commented on NXT Champion Finn Balor possibly being called up to the main roster soon. Here is what he said:

“I’m wondering if he’s going to get lost in the shuffle a little bit [on the main roster]. He does that crawl to the ring and sometimes it takes so long. It’s a little disconcerting because I’ve seen the kid. Good looking kid, worked for many years in Japan, and he’s very technical from Ireland or wherever he’s from. Great kid! Great kid! Hell of a worker. Ten times the worker I ever was, but he [has] got to connect with those people. And so hopefully that gimmick allows him to do that. And it’s a great look. You can make a lot of action figures off of it, but put all the pieces together. People [have] got to care about him to become emotionally invested in him, but a great human being and a hellacious worker.”

Stephen meets Irish WWE stars Becky Lynch and Finn Bálor outside of the ring, in the Two Tube Green Room, and chatted to them about what it takes to be a WWE star, their wrestling heroes and other career-avenues that they’d like to pursue.

Michael Cole opens the show in the ring. Cole is going to be acting NXT General Manger until William Regal returns from neck surgery. Cole lets the crowd know that Eva Marie will in fact get a shot at Bayley’s women’s championship in tonight’s main event. Cole introduces Finn Bálor. Bálor makes his way to the ring to sign the contract for his match with Samoa Joe at Takeover: London.

Bálor says he knows Joe did what he had to do, but at Takeover, he is going to put his foot down Joe’s throat. Joe comes out, gets in the ring, signs the contract and leaves. Joe didn’t even acknowledge Bálor’s presence. Bálor grabs the NXT title and walks up the ramp. Joe attacks Bálor from behind. They fight all the way to the ring before Joe locks in the coquina clutch. Bálor is out cold.
