In the ring, the Drifter is here to sing us a song. He remembers when he was fifteen, his dad gave him a guitar and said you can take this thing and tell the stories of the world, and he didn’t realize he’d drift into this godforsaken town. So relax, open your mind, and allow his music to wash over you and cleanse your filthy souls.

He starts to play but has to take a second to tune his guitar, demanding complete silence from the crowd.

Samson is interrupted by Finn Balor! They face off and circle, but the Drifter leaves and we go to break, informed that Finn will be in action after the break.

Back from commercial in time for the bell to ring.

Or not, because Bo Dallas blindsides Balor and lays him out! Referee Shawn Bennett checks on Finn and decides he can go.

Bo Dallas vs. Finn Balor
Punches in the corner, Dallas fired up, short-arm lariat, choke against the bottom rope and clubbing Balor against the apron. Throwing him into the barricade, charging knee to the head sandwiches him against it, back in the ring, only two. Knee lift, whip in the corner, Finn gets a boot up, takes an elbow, Pele kick in return and he finally gets some time to breathe.

Strike rush, elbow to the kidneys, mat slam into repeated stomps, Balor rallying, just laying stomp after stomp in as Bennett warns him. Lariat sends Bo outside, Penalty Kick from the apron! Throwing Dallas into the barricade repeatedly to give him his receipt, sling blade connects, shotgun dropkick…

Finn Balor wins by pinfall with Coup de Grace.

Finn Balor is interviewed and says all he sees in his future is the Universal Championship and him doing everything in his power to win it back. He says nobody knows Joe like he does and when he locks in the Coquina Clutch it’s lights out. And as for the Big Dog–

Elias Samson blindsides Finn! D-Von Dudley makes the save and tells the Drifter to get out of there.

  Finn Bálor’s Interview with News.com.eu

WRESTLING star Finn Balor is on his way back to the top of World Wrestling Entertainment and he wants what was cruelly taken from him last September.

Balor became the first ever WWE Universal Champion in his first main brand pay-per-view main event at Summerslam 2016.

But it was all stripped away just hours later, after the wrestler received a devastating shoulder injury during his title match with Seth Rollins. Scans showed the injury was severe and he was immediately made to vacate the title on the following night’s Monday Night Raw program and spent the next six months recovering, only returning in April this year.

Now he’s back and firing, he wants his crown returned.

Former UFC champion Brock Lesnar currently wears the Universal Title around his waist, but that does not concern Balor.

“Perhaps considering the fact I never actually lost the Universal Title, maybe at some point I’ll be granted a rematch — maybe against Samoa Joe or Brock Lesnar,” Balor told news.com.au

How to intimidate people according to WWE’s Finn Balor

Ahead of the WWE Live Singapore show on 28 June, WWE Superstar Finn Balor visited Singapore to meet fans and answer some questions from the media.

Known for his intimidating in-ring persona “The Demon King”, the 35-year-old wrestling star shared some tips on how to intimidate opponents, for educational purposes, of course.

“There are plenty of ways. I can stare right into their eyes without blinking (or) cut a sweet flex and show off your muscles, but I think the best way is by showing no fear to your opponent,” Balor told Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore in an exclusive interview.

“Once I show that I’m not intimidated by the opponent, then that in turn intimidates them because they will think, ‘He’s not scared at all. He clearly thinks he can beat me’. “, he added.

Balor shared that it was “knowing that opponent I’m facing is calm and he’s not scared” that intimidated him the most.

Outside of the squared circle, Balor makes sure people feel less intimidated by him by simply just “smiling and greeting them with a handshake”.

“I want to let people know that although on screen I may be the WWE superstar Finn Balor, ‘The Demon King’, I’m really just a regular dude like everyone else,” he said.

When asked about his plans in Singapore, he said he hopes to do some sight-seeing and wishes to try the famous chilli crab dish as well.

Speaking about his time wrestling in Japan, Balor said, “It definitely moulded me into the person I am, both inside and outside of the ring. The Japanese fighting spirit and ‘never give up’ attitude was something I adopted when I was there, and it still carries me forward long after I left Japan.”

On 28 June at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Balor will appear alongside other top WWE Superstars such as Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe for the WWE Live Singapore show.

Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe

Once the referee called for the bell, the action broke out into familiar pairings like Rollins vs. Joe, and the return of the heel alliance between the Destroyer and the Eater of Worlds. The latter pairing took us through a lengthy section of the match when Joe and Bray took out each of the other three competitors with a set of steel steps and the isolated Finn in the ring.

Some evasive maneuvers from Bálor happened just as Roman was rousing, and the Big Dog looked to clear his yard. The team-up managed to survive Reigns’ offensive, but when Rollins re-entered the fray, Wyatt threw Joe in front of a dive from the Kingslayer, and it was back to every man for himself.

Which made for some crazy action.

Roman speared Finn & Joe through the barricade while the Samoan had the Irishman locked in a Coquina Clutch. That was the opening for Rollins to fly, as he launched a Frog Splash from the top rope that landed on Wyatt and flattened an announce table.

A one-on-one battle between the former Shield-brothers followed, and there were nearfalls a plenty. The other competitors weren’t done, and Wyatt’s finish was teased amidst the chaos.

Finn managed to hit his finisher on Reigns, much to the delight of much of the crowd. But before the referee could count three, Joe slid back in and locked in his submission. There was no one to save Bálor, and while he didn’t tap out, he did pass out.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Back from commercial and Samoa Joe is watching Finn Balor’s entrance on a monitor when an interview rolls up. He says preparation is simple, you make things more predictable. While everybody’s watching Finn’s WWE 24 special and feeling feelings, he’s doing analysis and learning how to hurt him.

There’s the devil you know and the devil you don’t and Joe knows Finn very well. As for Bray Wyatt, he’s a very, very different man–

Finn Balor makes his entrance, and the match is up next after the break.

Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe
Three-way stand off, Wyatt sits down in the corner and bails, leaving Finn to attack Joe, throwing forearms. Samoa returns jabs and knees, chops in the corner, whip across, Balor to the apron, a kick, and Bray applauds. Finn throws Joe outside, he returns Wyatt to the ring and Balor gets in it with forearms and kicks.

Bray with clubbing blows, knocking Finn down momentarily. Rolling solebutt, forearm scrapes in the corner, but Balor charges into a boot. Gamengiri connects, pin, Joe breaks it up and fires a headbutt off. Knee lifts, Finn is hurting and Samoa throws him outside before moving on to Wyatt. Drawing the Eater of Worlds up by his beard but Balor comes from behind with strikes.

Bray back up, he throws Finn outside and targets Joe but Balor is right back in and throwing hands. Kicks back the Eater of Worlds into the corner and lays Joe out with a kick. Forearm from Wyatt, off the ropes, that huge turning crossbody block and a right hand to keep him down. Slicing right backs Balor up in the corner, he sets him up top but Finn has punches to back him away.

Samoa comes in, catching Balor, climbing to meet him, thinking superplex, Bray gets under, Tower of Doom! Wyatt fired up, hanging from the turnbuckles, Sister Abigail clutched but Joe comes in with the Coquina Clutch! Finn breaks it up with a boot, stomping a mudhole in Samoa!

A boot for Bray, off the ropes for a tope con giro and we go to break.
