Braun Strowman makes his entrance. He says when he sees that briefcase he gets motivated because he knows there’s a contract inside that guarantees him a Universal Championship shot any time, anywhere. At Money in the Bank he’s going to destroy seven other men, climb the ladder, and take the briefcase and not only be known as Mr. Money in the Bank, he’ll be Mr. Monster in the Bank.

And who’s going to stop him? Not the Miz, not Bobby Roode, not Finn Balor, not a single member of the New Day, nor Rusev, nor Kevin Owens. He’s gonna cash in and give Brock Lesnar These Hands!

Enter Finn Balor. He thinks Braun is getting ahead of himself, because he was the very first Universal Champion and he never lost that title. Honestly, that eats away at him every day and he’s determined to get back to the top. He’s gonna climb the ladder and take back what’s his. He and Strowman went one-on-one last week and he gave Braun everything he has, but at Money in the Bank there’ll be six other guys in the ring with them, every man for himself.

Strowman says he put up a really good fight for a little guy, and Finn is all smiles in return until he slaps him across the face! Braun biels him out of the corner and Balor falls out of the ring! Strowman heads to follow–

Enter Kurt Angle. He says they’re showing one of his favorite things, Intensity, one of his three I’s. Finn says he gave all he had against Braun, and it was incredible, so he’s booking it again tonight. Right now, in fact! He calls a referee down and we’re off!

…or we will be after the break, at least.

Finn off the ropes, trying to come back but he gets cut off, knocked down, and punted in the ribs!

Dragging himself up the ropes as referee Shawn Bennett checks on him, Balor comes back in and gets caught again, clubbed to the matt, whipped hard into the turnbuckles again but he’s still getting to his feet. Sidestep a punch, dropkick, hamstring kick, a second kick caught and Braun boots him to the mat! KO gets on the house mic to egg Strowman on, telling him he can do better than that, and we go to break with the monster kicking Finn in the face again.

Back from commercial, Finn ducks a charge and throws punches. Braun turns him around, Balor dodges again, goes for the enzuigiri from the apron but it’s caught and he gets clobbered to the floor with a right hand! Headed around… POUNCE OVER THE BARRICADE! Finn recovers, puts Strowman into the post, running kick when he’s coming back in, flurry of strikes… SHOTGUN DROPKICK PUTS BRAUN TO THE FLOOR!

A baseball slide staggers him and again KO gets on the house mic, this time cheering Finn on and telling him to give him his best shot. As it happens, that’s a gamengiri into a tope con giro and the monster’s off his feet! Braun recovers quick, throws him back inside… and runs into the Sling Blade! Northern shotgun dropkick, up top, Coup de Grace to the back of the head!

Headed up top, the normal Coup de Grace but he wants a definitive win and climbs again… KEVIN OWENS CUTS HIM OFF!

Finn Balor wins by disqualification.
